Undergraduate Scholarship Opportunities

Many scholarships and research grants are available only to undergraduates in the Department of Nuclear Engineering and Radiological Sciences, these include:

First Year Students: Sophomores:
  • Second Year Merit Scholarships ($2,000)
  • Kikuchi Scholarship for the outstanding sophomore ($3,000)
Sophmores, Juniors & Seniors:
  • National Academy for Nuclear Training Scholarships -$2,500 continuous yearly scholarship (4-year maximum)
  • Department of Energy - $2,000 (renewable)
  • American Nuclear Society (National) $2,000-$4,000

Juniors

Juniors & Seniors:

  • American Nuclear Society (Michigan)  $1000 
  • Health Physics Society $1,000
  • Research opportunity grants to pay Juniors and Seniors performing research with faculty and graduate students in the department (Up to $1000/term)
