Welcome to our 50th Anniversary!
This year, the department will celebrate our 50th anniversary --1958--2008! In addition to our anniversary celebration, U.S. News and World Report ranked the graduate program #1 in the field of nuclear engineering. We are excited to have two significant reasons to celebrate! Mark your calendars alumni and friends of the NERS community for the following dates – November 2-4, 2008. Many activities will be taking place during this period of time. We are looking forward to celebrating with you so plan to share in the festivities!
We take pride in the NERS community being known as home to a number of teachers, students and researchers who are dedicated to the development of beneficial technologies based on the physics of fundamental particles and radiation.
The keynote speaker for the symposium will be:
Dr. David Kay, Senior Research Fellow
Potomac Institute for Policy Studies
Arlington, Virginia
View Dr. Kay's current biography information at http://www.potomacinstitute.org/aboutus/staff/kay.htm.
Updates to the website will be taking place on a regular basis. Make sure that you check often.
We in the NERS Department look forward to seeing everyone soon.
